My name is Carson Cook. I’m a Canadian ski cross athlete from Edmonton, now based in Calgary. I began racing with Snow Valley before progressing through the Alberta alpine team and into ski cross. Over eight seasons with the Canadian national team, I’ve earned ten top-eight World Cup finishes, including a career-best sixth place. Competing for Canada has been an incredible privilege, and I’m determined to build on those results.
An ACL injury early in the 2024–25 season required surgery and months of rehabilitation before I returned to competition. I’m now training and racing as an independently funded athlete, working toward the results needed to earn my place back on the national team. My immediate goals are to return to the World Cup top eight and establish the consistency needed to compete with the best in the world.
This season, my focus is on November training camps at Sun Peaks and in Yukon, followed by the Cross Alps World Cup races in Europe in December. These blocks are an important step toward my long-term goal of representing Canada at the 2030 Olympic Games. Support through Snow Athletes Canada will help cover my training and competition expenses, allowing me to make the most of this opportunity and continue pursuing my potential.
