My name is Evan Bichon, and I’m a snowboard cross athlete based in North Vancouver, BC. At 26 years old, I’m preparing for my fourth season as a member of the Canadian National Snowboard Team, competing on the World Cup circuit. My ultimate goal is to become the best in the world and proudly represent Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy.

My passion for snowboarding began at the age of five. After joining a local club, I quickly discovered snowboard cross—a discipline that ignited a deep competitive drive within me. From grassroots competitions through the age categories, I progressed to the BC Provincial Team, then the National Development Team, and eventually earned my spot on the senior Canadian National Team. Along the way, I’ve built lifelong friendships and collected unforgettable experiences.

Since joining the national team, I’ve consistently ranked among the Top 32 men in the world. One of my career highlights includes finishing 19th overall in the World Cup standings. In the most recent season, I was proud to finish 25th overall, ranking as the second-highest Canadian male on the tour.

Some of my most memorable results include back-to-back personal bests: a 7th-place finish at the Austrian World Cup and a 4th-place finish at our home event in Mt. St. Anne, Quebec—just narrowly missing the podium by inches. Additionally, I’m honored to be the two-time defending Canadian National Champion, having claimed the title in both 2024 and 2025.

Looking ahead to this winter, my goals are ambitious but within reach: to earn my first World Cup podium and compete in my first Olympic Games this February in Italy.

When I’m not on snow, I’m in the gym full-time during the off-season, working to gain every possible advantage through strength and conditioning. Alongside my rigorous training schedule, I also work full-time to help fund my season. Snowboard cross is a demanding and expensive sport, with essential travel for training and competition often taking place across the globe.

I’m sharing my journey in hopes of connecting with supporters who believe in the power of sport, perseverance, and representing Canada on the world stage. Your support can make a meaningful difference as I work toward achieving my Olympic dream.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
