I started snowboarding later than most. My parents had grand designs that I would be a world class skier, however, as soon as I tried snowboarding for the first time at 9 years old their plans didn't stand a chance! Now 13 and about to enter my third year of provincial level competition, I am excited to be a member of the Ontario Snowboard Development Team and am aiming to keep pushing for podium results this season. In the past two seasons, I have secured a number of second and third place finishes in the groms category in the Ontario Snowboard Slopestyle Series. I am still gunning for that elusive gold medal and am hoping that my off-season training combined with my involvement in a wide variety of sports including wakeboarding, trampoline, soccer, golf and baseball will help to take my riding to the next level.
For this upcoming season I plan to continue striving for podiums. I know there will be an added challenge this season as I am now competing in a higher age division. I am also working towards locking down my 720 spins with a variety of grabs. I know that continued training and time in on snow and off snow camps will help me to achieve my goals this season.
