My name is Kaylie Buck, and I'm from Oakville, Ontario. I’m a proud member of the Canadian National Alpine Snowboard Team and a 2022 Olympian!
My journey in professional sport has been filled with triumphs, setbacks, challenges, and lessons that have taught me more than I could have ever imagined. From starting snowboarding at age 8 to chasing podiums on the Snowboard Ontario and USASA circuits, and then progressing to the FIS North American Tour, I found myself competing internationally on the World Cup at 16—and I’ve never looked back.
Since then, I’ve competed in four Junior World Championships, three FIS World Championships, the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, and have been racing on the World Cup circuit for nearly eight years.
Some highlights of my career so far include:
- Winning both USASA and Canadian National titles
- Becoming the overall NorAm Tour Champion
- Winning a European Cup
- Earning a 2 bronze medals at the 2019 and 2020 Junior World Championships
- Multiple top-16 finishes at World Cups
- Finishing 21st at the 2022 Olympic Games
Off the slopes, I’ve also worked hard to build a foundation for my life beyond sport. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University (completely online), completed internships with Deloitte and the Canadian Olympic Committee, and am currently finishing a Business Certificate from the Smith School of Business—all while working remotely to help support myself financially.
Since the first day my parents taught me to snowboard, they’ve been unwavering in their love and support, enabling me to chase my dreams to the highest level. But competing internationally also comes with significant financial strain. As I work toward qualifying for my second Olympic Games, I’m reaching out for support from those who believe in what I’m doing—not just for myself, but for the team and the community I represent.
