My name is Samuel Peters and I am 17 years old. In my first FIS season ( 2024/25 ), I was able to achieve a total of 4 gold medals, 2 silver, and one bronze. This qualified me to compete at the World Cup Tech finals in Switzerland 2025 as part of Team Canada development team, this was my World Cup debut!
In June of 2025 I was honoured to be nominated to the Canadian National Para Alpine Ski Team (CPAST) aiming for the Paralympic Games in Milano Cortina March 6-15th and beyond!
The winter of 2022/23 was my first competitive season. I had the privilege to represent BC’s para-athletes at the Canada Winter Games and brought home a Bronze Medal in GS. This was followed by the opportunity to Forerun (as I was not old enough to compete) in the 2023 FIS Canadian and USA National Para Alpine Championships in Kimberley.
I have been sit-skiing in the Okanagan since 2015 and have rapidly progressed to High Performance Para-Alpine skiing. Through the tremendous support of Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports (PHAS) at Big White and BC Adaptive Snowsports, my skills developed and I was introduced to the Big White Ski Club in 2022, with ongoing support from PHAS. I am committed to giving back to the adaptive Snowsports community and completed my CADS Level 1 Instructor certification in 2023 with PHAS.
My overarching goal is to represent Canada in the Winter Paralympics, a dream that fuels my relentless dedication to training and personal growth in the sport. I am actively seeking sponsorships to support my training, competing and equipment requirements to aid me in achieving my Paralympic aspirations.
