Hi, I’m Sawyer Jonasson, a Devils Glen ski racer and member of the Ontario Ski Team. My goal is to take skiing as far as I can and see how far it can take me. My journey has included major setbacks. Before my first FIS season in 2023, I broke my left tibia and fibula while playing AA football and required surgery. After a 12-month recovery, I resumed training for the 2025 season. In December 2024, I broke my right tibia and fibula in a Super G course at Panorama, requiring another surgery and 12-month recovery. In 2026, I completed my first full FIS season, won three FIS giant slalom races, and earned a spot on the Ontario Ski Team.

My goals this season are to qualify for a second year on the Ontario Ski Team, earn an NCAA university opportunity, and ultimately represent Canada in alpine ski racing.

Racing at this level comes with significant costs. Your support through Snow Athletes Canada helps make these opportunities possible, and eligible donations receive an official Canadian tax receipt. I’m incredibly grateful to my parents, family, coaches, Devils Glen, Alpine Ontario and my sponsor HEAD for all the help and support along the way.
