My name is Stuart Smith, I am 13 years old and I train with mixed movements at Beaver Valley Ski Club. I started snowboard cross because I enjoy both going fast and hitting jumps, and this sport is the perfect combination of both.

One of my proudest achievements so far in snowboarding was competing in junior nationals, where I got to challenge myself against riders from across the country to see how I compared to them. In addition, I won the award for the fastest Under 13 rider at the 2024 Beaver Valley Banked Slalom. Both of Those experiences have motivated me to push even harder in my training and racing to prepare for future competitions .

Looking ahead, my biggest goal for the next season is to earn a podium finish in one of my races. I am dedicated to improving my skills, working with my coaches and teammates, and representing Ontario
