Hello, my name is Gabby Wall. I’m a 20 year old ski racer from Collingwood, Ontario, and the 2026/27 season will be my second year racing for the University of Calgary Dino’s Ski Team. I started racing at Alpine Ski Club, and was part of their programs until U16. In my first year of FIS, I joined the Alpine Ontario programs and progressed through their teams up to the Ontario Ski Team, which I took two years after high school to ski on before going to University.
Growing up, sports have been a central part of my life. I am excited that I am continuing my athletic journey throughout University, and inspiring young athletes, especially girls, to pursue their passions. I volunteer as much as I can at my home ski club, coaching and interacting with different groups of young racers. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a panel speaker for the SheSkiis event at Georgian Peaks a couple of years ago. Your support will help me achieve my goals and foster a supportive environment for future athletes.
I ended last season achieving my big season goal of winning the GMC CUP in Alberta and BC as well as ranking 1st in SL and 5th in GS for the U21 age group at Nationals. My ultimate goals for this season are to qualify for and excel at the 2027 World University Games in January, taking place in China, as well as continuing to lower my points in all four disciplines.
My parents have been extremely supportive of me in my athletic and academic journeys. Skiing is an expensive sport making it challenging for any family to fund, especially for families such as my own where both my sister and I are high level ski racers and in university. The added expense this year of the World University Games will contribute to the financial strain. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will go toward my team fees for this season, and the World University Games event.
Thank you so much for your support! Every donor will receive an official receipt for their tax-deductible donation.
