Hi, I’m Electra. I live in Haliburton, Ontario. I started on skis for the first time on a school trip to our local ski hill Sir Sam’s. But skiing wasn’t for me. I just wanted to snowboard. As soon as I strapped on my board it just felt amazing. Sir Sam’s was the perfect hill for learning but I needed a bigger terrain park. Our family began to travel to Mount St. Louis Moonstone and eventually my Mom found The Senders. Having really awesome coaching led to some fast gains and this led to competitions. Last year was my first full season of competition and I even got to podium at the Jr. Nationals…twice! Not bad for a newbie!
I am so excited to be invited to be part of Team Ontario this season. I have goals of becoming a better snowboarder and continuing to compete. I am going to compete on the world stage one day and represent Ontario and Canada and the Olympics and X-games. Hopefully winning gold. This means I have a lot of work to do. With more time training on and off the snow, spending more time on the hills and more time with my coaches. All of this takes time and money. Luckily, I have a family that supports my dreams, and I hope you might support my dreams too. Every donation is greatly appreciated and helps me achieve the ability to train better and harder. This lets me take on bigger challenges and eventually bigger competitions!
