Hi, my name is Cooper. I am a proud Albertan, 16 year old member of the Alberta Provincial Snowboard Team. I have dreams of joining the Canadian National Team and going to the Olympics in snowboarding one day! I love snowboarding and train almost all year around for Slopestyle and Big Air competitions. I have won numerous provincial competitions in Alberta and British Columbia. I have also been the forerunner for the World Cup in Calgary and have participated in international competitions. I was the youngest person to participate in the winter Canada Games when I was 13.
As I start looking forward in my snowboarding journey, my time on snow is becoming more demanding and exciting. I am now travelling internationally to chase the snow and train with some incredible riders! For example, this summer I spent a whole month in Australia and then went to Japan to train on dryslope. I have been so fortunate to be able to do these things because of my parents, and support from my sponsors who provide my equipment. Thank you K2, Fix Binding, and Mountain Division! Training though continues to be very expensive. While I do have part time jobs, it is not enough. I would be grateful for any support to achieve my dreams and grow as an athlete.
