Hi, I’m Anabelle Ellison. I am a graduating U16 ski racer coming off of a rewarding final season in OCUP, heading into my first year of FIS with the Ontario Development Ski Team (ODST). Over the years, this sport has taught me so much about grit, consistency, and what it truly takes to push your limits both on and off the hill.
That mindset took shape after my first year of U16. Though I managed to win one race, I didn't meet my own expectations through out the rest of the season. I knew something had to change if I wanted to reach the next level, so heading into my second year, I completely shifted my work ethic and dedication. I put everything into my training, and that extra focus transformed my season. I ended up with six regular-season wins, and met my goal of becoming the U16 provincial champion. A big part of that was the dryland training work I put in over the summer which helped me earn the title of both the provincial and easterns fittest athlete, alongside representing my school as an OFSAA GS champion and Slalom bronze medalist.
Experiencing how far hard work can take me makes me very excited for this upcoming season, which is a massive step up as I transition into FIS. My focus this season is to challenge myself every day to push myself as hard as I can and work harder than before to get my FIS points as low as possible. Looking further ahead, my goal is to compete for Harvard University’s D1 ski team. I’m motivated by the challenge of proving I have what it takes to compete at that level, and I’m fully focused on putting in the daily work to get there.
To help make this next step possible, i’m looking for donations to help fund this next step in my career. Ski racing comes with heavy financial demands from equipment and year round training to extensive travel on the FIS circuit. I am grateful for any contribution you consider. Every donation goes directly toward funding these race expenses and helping me take this next step in my ski career. Thank you so much for your generosity, and for being a part of my journey!
